I am a year older then Carl and have been to Stroudsburg Wrestling camp with him and another Locust Valley great, Ed Pidgeon, my senior year I won the Nassau County tournament and was part of the section 8 Wrestling team with both Carl and his brother Al. I have seen brother Bob win the Nassau County Wrestling tournament, around 1977. This is the most amazing Wrestling family imaginable. Carl was amazing to watch, nobody moved like him. I wasn’t really that surprised he became National Champ at Penn State, he’s as good as you can get. Great guy and I’m really happy for all his success from Sports to business to having a nice looking family. Way to go Destefanis family, you guy’s are absolutely royalty in NY Wrestling.
